Kirkhill Lawn Tennis Club

The Family Tennis Club

Tennis is a social and fun sport for all ages

We are a small and friendly club located in pleasant tree lined grounds in Cambuslang, Glasgow. We enjoy playing tennis year round, with three blaes courts and one all weather court.  We have a number of weekly coached sessions for juniors and adults, social tennis, holiday programmes and competitive teams that play in the local, regional and national teams.

There are so many social and health benefits associated with sport and tennis is no exception.  Just as little as 30 minutes of regular exercise 3 times a week can vastly improve your health and wellbeing so why not give tennis a try and see how much better you feel for it?  We can offer classes for all ages, abilities and you might just be the next best thing on court.

If you just can't be persuaded to try tennis why not give our other activities a try.  We have Tuesdays Chess club, weekend Gardening growers and our knitting knatter on a Friday.

Blaes to Glory Campaign

Our current mission at Kirkhill LTC is to take tennis to the community.  We would like to give as many people the chance to try the sport.

Our newly resurrected facility has been recently refurbished with 4 brand new fabulous courts with floodlighting.  Our renovations don't stop there however with all new fences and car parking and soon to be implemented pathways.

We have had investment from Wren Community fund, SUEZ community fund, Viridor, Fife Environmental Trust, Tennis Scotland, Sportscotland to name some of the generous donations we have had to ensure longevity of this facility for the community for years to come.

Come and give tennis at try at Kirkhill - you won't regret it.

So what is next for Kirkhill Lawn Tennis Club?

We will be rolling out our coaching programme and building our membership.  We will be further developing our links with local schools.  We will be pledging to work with other community groups.  We will be helping to improve the health and wellbeing of the residents of the area.

Maybe there is something you would like to see at the club which would interest you in becoming a member.  Please get in touch if there is anything we can offer or you have any community groups you would like to link with the club.

Book a court and Pay-to-Play

Members enjoy free booking rights to courts and booking a court will send an email to your inbox that you can use as proof of booking.

For ease of booking a court we are using Clubspark which allows you to book a court with two clicks on your mobile device.  Download the clubspark booker app from Apple or Android to make this process very simple.

If you would like to book a pay-to-play court (£12 per hour) or a free members court click on the booker app logo to the left.  Members will need to login through their account to access free booking but done once on the booker app will allow this without the need for login for future bookings.  Bring along your confirmation e-mail to confirm your booking.  Here are some top tips to enhance your experience of booking a court.

100 years of Tennis 1915 to 2015

We celebrated 100 years of Kirkhill Lawn Tennis Club  in style during 2015 with festivities year round including open days, Birthday Parties, a visit from Judy Murray, social nights, quiz nights and tennis tournaments to mark the occasion.

We have kept the party spirit going into the next centenary of tennis at Kirkhill with our annual quiz night and French Open Tournament.
